Choose your Robusta roast

A practical starting point for comparing light, medium and dark Robusta at BuonMe.

Start with how you like your cup

If you prefer a brighter cup, explore a lighter roast. If you want balance, a medium roast is a useful starting point. For a fuller roast character, compare the dark option. The origin, processing, grind and brewing recipe also affect what you taste.

Match the coffee to your preparation

For milk coffee or a traditional phin, compare medium and dark options and adjust to your preference. If you brew black coffee, try different roast levels with the same recipe so the comparison is meaningful.

The names “light”, “medium” and “dark” are not universal flavour guarantees. Read the notes on the exact product and choose a grind appropriate for your equipment.

Make one change at a time

Keep your coffee dose and water consistent when comparing roasts. Then adjust grind or extraction to taste. A simple note about what you liked makes your next purchase easier.
