Ask for the supporting documents

A product label or a reference to a farming approach is not a substitute for a certificate. Before relying on a VietGAP, organic or other certification claim, request the relevant document for the product or lot you plan to buy.

Check the named holder, issuing organisation, validity period, scope and product coverage against your procurement requirements.

Natural practices and certification

Descriptions of cultivation or processing explain how a coffee is made. They should not be read as confirmation of independently certified status unless the supporting evidence has been supplied and applies to that coffee.

Send us your destination, intended use and documentation checklist with your enquiry. We can discuss available specifications, packaging information and supporting documents before you approve a sample or place an order.

Do not assume that a document accepted for one market satisfies the requirements of another. Your written quotation should identify the agreed product and documentation.
